Dear Srila Gurudeva,

Hare Krishna! Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and to You!

On this auspicious day of Your appearance, I offer You my sincere congratulations. This day has been the most significant and joyful date for me for eight years already. Every time when the day of Your Vyasa Puja comes, I am surprised and glad that by Lord’s mercy I managed to find such a spiritual master like You. You are my inspiration in service to Lord Krishna and my guiding star. For me, a disciple of Yours, You are an example of enthusiasm, resilience, constancy and love. For all of us, Your life is an example of perfect devotion to the mission of Lord Caitanya and our beloved Srila Prabhupada.

I also summarize my spiritual life on this day every year. By Your mercy I can see how much imperfection I have in my heart, how little I do, and I realize that I could do more. Nevertheless, I do not lose hope; thanks to You, Your love and concern You share with Your disciples I am steadily but slowly studying and becoming useful to our movement. When I have some difficulties, I always recall the things You are doing and it gives me strength.

I live in Kharkov, Ukraine, and unfortunately I have a mundane job and I have to work hard. But thanks to listening to Your lectures, I try to give as much fruits of my work to Krishna as possible.

This year You gave me a second initiation. My service in the temple is to cook for the Deities. I will try my best to satisfy You with my service. Unfortunately, all the events that I planned to join to serve You and the devotees were cancelled this year. My heart is torn apart because of the sеparation with the service at Your Woodstock festival, where You are showering mercy upon thousands of conditioned souls. I am also very upset because the Ukrainian tour was cancelled. All Kharkov devotees are waiting for You to visit Kharkov, and pray for the Ratha Yatra festival that You organize in our city. Despite all that, I am listening and following Your instructions and serving in our community.

I wish You good health and strength in fulfilling Your mission. Thank You for everything, for Your association and for Your prayers!
