Dear Srila Gurudeva,
Please accept our respectful obeisances onto your lotus feet. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
We, Sakatari Das and Gopal Govinda Ram das, would like to express our gratitude to you for blessing us to serve together in Srila Prabhupada’s worldwide mission of book distribution. We faced many challenges together which gave us a strong feeling of unity in the mission of Lord Caitanya. Every time we meet you, you are kindly blessing us to continue the service. You follow the footsteps of Prabhupada, who liked hearing reports about book distribution, and when you see us, you always ask us about our achievements in this service. You are also very pleased to hear these reports. Many people who obtained books from our hands have become devotees these years. It is so inspiring for us and for the parampara.
We gain a great impulse of compassion to all the living beings by regular listening to Prabhupada and your lectures, associating with the devotees and studying Prabhupada’s books. We are trying to develop the three principles given by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, namely vaisnava-seva, nama-ruchi and jiva- doya. You show us the example of following these principles. Your festivals in Poland, Kartik parikramas and your worldwide preaching are our guidelines. Your name means the radiant Indra. Your form is like Lord Caitanya’s form. Your qualities, such as patience, humbleness, kindness, purity, honesty, seeing only good in others, expanding compassion to living beings, etc. inspire us to work on these qualities in our hearts for the sake of developing Lord Caitanya’s mission. You are an ideal example of following Srila Prabhupada. You never reject your disciples. Having faced adversity in ISKCON, you’re still developing Prabhupada’s society. It is a quality of a sadhu as per Bhagavad Gita verse 9.30. We cannot fully describe all your qualities as the spiritual master is a direct manifestation of Krishna’s mercy. Dear Srila Gurudeva, please bless us to continue the service in such a way to let us enhance at least a part of those qualities of yours.
I would like to tell a story that shows your strong attachment to the Holy Name. It happened at the festival in Divnomorsk. You came to the hall where a lecture was held. You were walking and chanting japa. I was sitting there and you were walking by. Each time you were walking past me, I felt my heart melting. So I went crying, thanks to you. You show a perfect example of vaisnava-seva. Each lecture that you give refers to the Holy Name, preaching, pastimes of the Lord and His devotees.
