From Jayananda Thakur Das – Kazakhstan, Aktobe

Dear Gurudeva,Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Please kindly let me congratulate you on your Vyasa Puja. Let me glorify and thank you.
First of all I am grateful to you for your shelter and protection. This is my biggest success, and I will definitely appreciate this causeless mercy of yours.
I am very grateful to you for an excellent example of a faithful, strong, enthusiastic and determined disciple of Srila Prabhupada. I am especially inspired by your preaching spirit which is stable and continuous.
The enthusiasm and interest in service usually tends to decrease over the years. But it refers only to a conditioned soul like me. But you, Gurudeva, are the one who shares enthusiasm and energy for devotional service and preaching with others. You serve and do not get tired of preaching.
I heard you saying in a class: “So many disciples come to me and ask for blessings, but I wish there was at least one who would come and ask me: ‘Dear Gurudeva, please empower me to preach.’” After this lecture, I felt a desire in my heart to ask you for that. And so I did by your mercy.
One cannot call my attempts a real kind of preaching, it’s nothing but a beginning, because my preaching is full of anxieties and ignorance. But I am very eager to obtain your mercy and I want to preach in your mood.
As you took sannyas at the age of twenty nine, I would also like to become your serious assistant, a worthy and loyal disciple in your mission by this age.
I know your goal and your dream, Guru Maharaja: you want to satisfy Srila Prabhupada and to serve Him personally. I confess to you, Gurudeva, I have the same goal and dream: I want to satisfy you and to serve you personally. Please bless me to reach this goal and to fulfil this dream.
Dear Gurudeva, I am very proud to be your disciple.
Your disciple and servant, Jayananda Thakur Das
