Dear Srila Gurudeva,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to you.

I was very fortunate last year to be able to have your personal association on a few different occasions and thereby experience the qualities, lifestyle and acts of a pure devotee. At the Pol’n’Rock festival, I was able to witness your incredible strength. I never understood how one can be capable of this much, especially physically. Years ago, I was also amazed to see you constantly on your feet, preaching and always making sure that everything goes smoothly. Last year, I witnessed again that day in and day out you were always engaged, wondering if you had even ever slept. I am convinced that this level of activity is not within the material energy. What keeps you going and keeps you alive is some kind of spiritual energy. I was able to witness that the spreading of Krishna Consciousness is your life and soul.

I was lucky enough to spend a few days on last year’s Vrindavana parikrama.
It’s amazing to feel the love and care you have to the devotees. It must have
been you behind the scenes also ensuring that everything goes according to
plan. I personally felt your caring organizational skills, keeping your eye on the various aspects, like how the devotees will make it to the location, what kind of programs will be there, are they well-looked after, e.g. the prasadam. I thought that organizing something on this scale, paying attention to all these details was impossible, but you proved me wrong. During those days, I felt your personal care and attention to the devotees. I cannot even imagine when you could have found time to prepare for all those detailed, professional classes that you delivered. I saw that serving the devotees is your life and soul.

These are only two aspects, two important qualities that I’ve described, but I could go on and on. Thank you very much for allowing me to be your disciple and for setting an example for me to follow.

Wishing you many more happy returns of the day.

Your daughter, Rasika Prema Dasi
