Hare Krishna Gurudev, this is my first time writing an offering for you on your auspicious Vyasa Puja Day, so please pardon my mistakes. I know I am very unworthy, and no words of mine could describe your glories and my gratitude towards you. Still, I will try my best to express all my feelings through this offering on the occasion of your glorious appearance day.
I saw you for the first time during Kirtan Rasa 2019, when I was 9 years old. While you were leaving the hall, I came and took your blessings. You asked me about my favourite subject, and what I wanted to become when I grew up, and I replied ‘A scientist’. That dream was stuck in my head for 3 years because you gave me the blessing to become a very successful scientist! Since that moment, I realized I had just met the most compassionate, caring, divine and patient personality.
Your kirtans are an otherwordly experience. Your sweet melodious voice makes me enjoy the kirtan, fully absorbed in the holy name. It is the factor that attracted me to listening and participating more in kirtan.
Then again, I got the opportunity to take your darshan in Vrindavan Dham in Prabhupada Samadhi Mandir in December 2021. There were a few other devotees from Damodardesh with us. You talked so sweetly and lovingly to all of us kids, and I remember you embracing my younger brother and giving him your blessings. I am still in awe as to how a person can be so loving, welcoming and caring like you. Ever since that meeting, I took up chanting 16 rounds.
You are my inspiration to push myself a mile forward. Your enthusiasm and energy to serve Krsna and do kirtan is something that always mesmerizes me. Your effulgent smile is enough to brighten up a whole room and lift spirits. Your words have the potency to instil devotion in the most fallen souls like me. Thank you so much Gurudev for giving me a new perspective on Krsna Consciousness, and for helping me progress further in my spiritual living. I will be forever indebted to you for accepting me as your spiritual daughter on the auspicious day of Dwadashi. I got a phone call from you, and you sheltered me and took me under your protection. It was a very overwhelming experience for me.
I am looking forward to serving you physically in Kartik Yatra and having conversations with you.
So, dear Gurudev, on this glorious occasion of your Vyasa Puja, I ask you to please bless me so that I can serve you, Srila Prabhupada and Sri-Sri Radha Shyamasundar through kirtan and dance.
