My dear Srila Gurudeva, Hare Krishna!
Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet.
All glory to Srila Prabhupada! All glory to you, my dear spiritual master!
In this changing time for the world, challenging time for the Brisbane Yatra, and in facing my life I am taking shelter of the vows I gave you, and of the instructions you gave me.
I pray that your mercy awakens me and I grow in virtue. Srila Prabhupada said that we must become human being first before becoming a devotee. And what is a human being without a virtue? No better than animal which follows instincts of self-preservation.
I am praying for you mercy, dear Gurudeva, to develop virtues to become human being according to Srila Prabhupada, so that I may have chance to become a devotee of Krishna.
I am praying for your mercy, dear Gurudeva, to become attached to the chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra under any circumstances. Since I am not able to hold the beads, I am struggling to complete my rounds.
I am praying for your mercy, dear Gurudeva, to be conscious and live in the present moment. As only an awakened, conscious person can develop Krishna consciousness. If I continue sleeping in Maya, what chances do I have?
I am praying for your mercy, dear Gurudeva, to become attached to everything in relation to Krishna, and detached from the material conception of life, from everything that identifies with this current body. Without your mercy I am not able to realise that I am not this body, but a spirit soul.
Dear Srila Gurudeva, YOUR MERCY is all I am made of. Without your mercy I can not make any advancement and remain stuck in this material world. Please, be merciful unto me! Help me to progress on the way to Krishna and my service to you, to Srila Prabhupada, to the devotees, and to the people in general.
