Dear Gurudeva,

Please accept my obeisances.All glories to Srila Prabhupada and to you.

Another year has passed, Srila Gurudeva, and this year I’ve been more frightened and child-like than ever. The world has changed so much in the past few months, that I have become afraid. What eases my fear and worry is your radiance.

The strength and fearlessness I see in you, calms my heart. Your selfless love and faith gives me the strength not to despair or get lost.

A quote from St. Francis of Assisi comes to my mind: “Let me bring faith to dissipate darkness, and joy to where life is suffering.” You are like this, Srila Gurudeva. The light in the darkest of shadows, the rainbow in a storm and rain in drought.

Your appearance day is one of my favourite days. What is more, it is the most wonderful day in the world because you dissipate darkness and bring joy to
those whose life is full of suffering. Thank you for being for us, Srila Gurudeva.
