Dearest Srila Gurudeva,
Dandavat Pranams. Srila Prabhupada ki — jai! All glories to You. On behalf of Keli Manjari Dasi, and my boys, Kisan and Gopal, I
wish You a happy Appearance Day, Srila Gurudeva. We do not have words that will properly address our gratitude for Your intervention in our lives.

I had a rare privilege of personally meeting You twenty years ago in Detroit. Just months before I heard Your lecture, and I realized that only You could solve all of my problems. By Your intervention You permanently changed the direction of my life. For the past twenty years You have given us Your causeless mercy. Your instructions have given us extraordinary knowledge, and more faith in Krsna consciousness. You blessed Keli Manjari when she was pregnant with our first-born; You placed Your lotus feet on the heads of both of my boys, You personally came to our home when we were residing in California, and the list goes on. The mercy of a genuine sadhu has no bounds. Of all the gifts that You have bestowed upon us, You have given us the Holy Name — the most precious jewel. Every single day, my family and I relish this treasure, which cleanses our hearts and gradually increases our faith in the process.

You have taken the instructions of Your spiritual master to the core of Your heart. When I think of Your lifetime of service and the generous contributions You have made, that instruction keeps coming to mind: “Preach boldly and have faith in the Holy Names.” Before beginning each round, I chant: “Preach boldly and have faith in the Holy Names.” Your extraordinary service is a perfect exemplification of how a disciple should conduct his life.

On this most auspicious day we thank You very much for Your glance upon us. Thank You so much for accepting my wife and me as Your disciples, although we have no qualifications. Thank You for granting us brahminical initiation on Nrsimha Caturdasi. I pray that we never abandon the Holy Names, and always remain in the shelter of Your lotus feet. Srila Gurudeva ki — jai!
