Hare Krsna dear Gurudeva!
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srīla Prabhupada! All glories to you!
oṁ ajñāna-timirāndhasya jñānāñjana-śalākayā cakṣur-unmīlitaṁ yena tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ
“I was born in the darkest ignorance, and my spiritual master opened my eyes with the torch of knowledge. I offer my respectful obeisances unto him.”
śrī-caitanya-mano bhīṣṭam sthāpitaṁ yena bhū-tale svayaṁ rūpaḥ kadā mahyaṁ dadāti sva-padāntikam
“When will Srila Rupa Gosvami Prabhupada, who has established within this material world the mission to fulfill the desire of Lord Caitanya, give me shelter under his lotus feet?”
I would like to thank you for your recent letter. The title was incredibly powerful and the letter itself very inspiring. The message within it, of “not being stuck in the material existence”, has touched my heart. You mentioned
that we have to improve the quality of our sadhana, because life is short and 77
we don’t have time and that with the help of the Holy Name we can change our lives. I understand that I am one of your children and I can’t keep finding excuses. I am so grateful to you because you help me, and inspire me in various ways to be more and more attached to the Holy Name. For example, with the video you have shared, where you chant on the roof in Vrindavan or when you appear in my dreams. I pray to the dust of your lotus feet to be able to serve you in your mission to fulfill Srila Prabhupada’s desire.
Apparently, we are experiencing a very sad situation, but I’m actually happy about the coronavirus. Of course, not because of people’s suffering, but because I can see the positive side of the situation. I have the opportunity to see you and try to follow the instructions you give us in your lectures, which are very sophisticated yet easily understandable even to someone like me, who has limited knowledge of English.
You always take exemplary care of the devotees and help them through the difficulties of material existence, just like Srila Prabhupada did.
My beloved spiritual master, I hope my letter finds you in good health. I wish you a happy appearance day!
Your insignificant servant, Nityananda Mahajana Das
