from Vrajapati Suta Das – India

Hare Krishna Dear Srila Gurudeva,
Please accept my humble obeisance!
All Glories to you and Srila Prabhupada!

My best wishes and prayers on your divine appearance day that – May Sri Sri Radha Shyamsundar and Narsimhadeva keep you in good health and give you long healthy life for bringing more and more conditioned souls from the clutches of Maya to the lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada.

I would like to kindly apologise that I couldn’t come personally to any of the Vyaspujas at Mayapur or Vrindavan although being in India. Actually I had enrolled for the Yoga Teachers Training Course at GEV along with a fellow Brmhacari – one reason was for the health but another important reason to get Certification which may be useful for Polish Visa.

Srila Gurudeva I would like to beg forgiveness for all my mistakes that I have committed in Krishna consciousness either serving directly or remotely to you. I think I have done more blunders than a pleasing service to you.

But one thing for sure – in ups and downs, struggles and pitfalls in Bhakti, Maya had humbled me and made me realise my true position, and so I have nothing to be falsely proud of.

But I assure you, I have firm faith in you, Srila Prabhupada and holy name. And by mercy of all of you, I am hopeful that, one day may I achieve that humble position that my service to the mission of Prabhupada may delight and please you.

As mentioned to you earlier I will soon be shifting to the suitable temple and surrounding that will facilitate more time for serving you.

So please bless me wherever I would be, may I always be in association with devotees and may I dedicate my life with more sincerity and purity for the mission of Srila Prabhupada, being in this monastic life.

The instruction and a question that you asked causally on the dining table at Lonavala to all of your servants, taking personally the name of each of us, always rings in my heart. These instructions which came in Guru Parampara from Srila Prabhupada, I would like to make as a mission of my life.
You kindly asked, “Why are you not a pure devotee?” and “You are not this body”.

So my primary goal is to realise now your instructions to go beyond this bodily conception of life and shift focus from atmendriya priti (pleasing own senses) to krishnendriya priti (pleasing Krishna’s senses) and strive my whole life to aspire for pure devotion and work in that direction.

Thanks for everything that you did and are doing for all of us your disciples.

Your insignificant servant,
Vrajapati Suta Das
